Can anyone explain why I can’t stop listening to this song? October Rain, the title song for the 3.1 Album by 10cm, is just so fitting to the damp October weather we’ve been having lately (Well at least here in the East Coast). Even though the Youtube view counts seem to show that most people like the other song in this album wayyy more, I have always preferred sad songs over happy ones. Someone help me.
I love how delicate the song is, with just Kwon Jeong Yeol’s voice, the guitar, and the cello; I couldn’t help but let out a sigh when the cello came in for the chorus. Having the song on repeat while driving down the red and orange filled roads of Connecticut, I felt like I was living out a scene from a movie: soon to end, soon to forget. We are so hesitant to believe in love, and when we finally give in to give it another chance, give it our all, it washes away like a sudden shower when we’re least prepared and most vulnerable. But I still give it my all, cause the rain will eventually stop. Or it may never even fall.
