About Me

Blood Type: A
Hobbies: Games, music

Hi, I’m Michael.

Lately, I’ve grown an obsession for Korean Indie music. I would put a single song on repeat for days if not weeks, and after listening to the same song some unhealthy number of times, how could I not write about it! I hope you enjoy the songs I share as much as I do, and let me know of any gems that I might have missed. Also, be on the look out for some (bad) covers as I’m slowly teaching myself how to play the guitar… slowlyyyyyy.

Besides music, I enjoy food, running, puzzles, and games. I’m hoping the blog motivates me to cook more often to make up for my long-lost childhood dream of becoming a chef.

Oh, and I love tart froyo (with two scoops of mochi).

Thank you for existing~! haha. im not really a blog person. found your page by ‘accident’ and it seems like your blog will be my lair when im online in the future. haha. i kinda love k-indie music but i have very limited source and knowledge abt it. My disabilities in reading and understanding hangul in advance level put a gap on what i wanna explore on K-indie music. TT_TT . So i hope your blog would atleast feed my need on it. keep up the great works and keep the updates coming~! =D btw, good luck with the cooking~! may you find your longlost dream and be a good cook~! XD

Hi there stumbled upon your blog by accident when I was looking for translations to the song Romance by Cheeze. thank you for translating it! It’s a good song I’ve recently grown fond of. I was wondering if you know of the song The Way You Make Me by Cloud? Could you maybe do a translation of the song if possible please? Thanks! Looking forward to more k-indie recommendations from you hehe ~

Thanks so much for doing these translations! I’ve really appreciated all of the work that you put into translating these things in your spare time. It’s so hard to find translations for Korean Indie music, so it’s no overstatement to say that you’re amazing. Keep up the good work!

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform
you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future
but I’m having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for
something unique. P.S My apologies for getting
off-topic but I had to ask!

Oh and one more thing, do you have Spotify account? A playlist I can follow? Because I always listen to music thru Spotify. May God bless you. Love from Malaysia.

  • sandra November 4, 2016 // 10:41 am

Hi Michael! I was never one to read or post on anyone’s blogs but I found yours through Acourve-The Day. It’s the only song I’ve been listening to for the past 2 days and honestly I’m afraid I’ll get sick of it cos I rly don’t want to. ANYWAYS, the main reason why for the first time I have decided to comment on anyone’s blog (yours), is because I want to thank you for the k-indie song suggestions/playlist. Lucia’s That kind of season was a favourite of mine for a very very long time and I realised she was on your list too and i got really excited so here I am typing away. Will look forward to your blogs from now on! Sorry this was lengthy and btw, I’m an ENFP Thank you again!

p.s Am I supposed to comment here? Is this the right page? Please pardon me if i did anything wrong!
p.p.s You’re page has officially earned a place on my bookmarked pages. (I’ve got 4 bookmarks now) Congrats!

    • Michael November 22, 2016 // 3:25 pm

Haha, thank you I’m glad I could make it to your bookmarked pages, it’s an honor.

Hi Michael! Searching for the translated lyrics to Paul Kim’s Rain brought me here, and I’m so glad it did! Thank you for your blog! It’s lovely, and a big help.

  • Bella September 16, 2018 // 2:22 am

    Hi Michael~
I really enjoy the korean indie songs, and I know how hard is to find the english lyrics.
I appreciate the time you spend in translating and sharing the lyrics.
Honestly, I don’t know if your blog are active or not, but I really want to tell you: thank you so much

  • miyoungwon December 1, 2018 // 7:25 pm

Hiya Michael! I don’t know if you’d see this or not since it seems like it’s been a while since you’ve come on here. I come to your blog from time to time to go back to all the translations that you’ve done for a bunch of songs and I’ve come across this artist who has such a beautiful voice and a beautiful song and I’m wondering if you’ve listened to it before.

It’s this song called Waves by Lee Aram featuring Wynn,

and I just figured that you would appreciate this song. (And probably sneak in a song translation post teehee). The lyrics are quite simple and to my limited but not so limited Korean, I could sort of make it out lol but anyway, hope you’re doing great and hope this song puts a smile on your face!

    • Michael January 5, 2019 // 5:29 pm

Hi! I do come by quite often, but just to read up on some comments and see if anyone really misses me :P. I’ve been quite busy working on another side project which doesn’t really involve music — thus the hiatus from this blog. I tried the song, I liked it. 둘이, so do we, cute haha.

  • Ella January 24, 2019 // 6:42 am

Hey, would you mind translating Kwon soon Kwan’s song -a Door?

    • Michael January 24, 2019 // 10:26 am

Hm, I’ll see if I have time today… I stopped taking requests but I’m actually surprised I haven’t translated that one yet.

  • Ella January 24, 2019 // 11:15 am

Oh, that would be so kind of you!
I just asked for it in general so even if you don’t have time for it today that’s completely fine.
I found your website because i saw you had translated another one of his song’s and there is no one else out there who has done it before so I thought I might give it a shot and ask.
The song sounds amazing I just wished I knew the meaning behind the lyrics.
If you do have any time in future I would like to kindly ask you to translate that song, please.
